At our 20th Anniversary party on Oct. 1, more than 200 friends, clients, partners and supporters filled our office to celebrate our first 20 years of communicating, advocating and innovating.
Founded in 1994, Nyhus Communications has grown from a one-person shop operated out of CEO Roger Nyhus’ apartment into a 22-person team with headquarters in downtown Seattle, and a presence in Washington, D.C., and China. With a talented team of public relations, public affairs, executive communications, and marketing and digital content specialists, Nyhus is now the fastest-growing independent communications firm in the Pacific Northwest, according to the 2014 Holmes Report.
Over the years, Nyhus has been honored with numerous industry and leadership awards, including the PR News Platinum PR Award, the Holmes Report Gold SABRE Award and numerous PRSA Puget Sound Totem Awards. Nyhus has been recognized as one of Seattle’s top public relations firms by the Puget Sound Business Journal. In addition, Inc. Magazine has named Nyhus Communications as one of the 5000 fastest-growing private companies in America for six consecutive years.
Building off his experience working in the administrations of former Seattle Mayor Paul Schell and former Washington Gov. Gary Locke, Roger Nyhus expanded his firm to tackle complex public affairs issues and work with international clients. Nyhus offers full-service public relations to elevate brands; public affairs to engage key stakeholders; marketing and digital content services to help clients share their messages effectively; and executive communications to position corporate executives as thought leaders. Our newly launched China Practice helps American and Chinese firms navigate new markets successfully.
