Ian serves as an account coordinator, focusing on research and account support for a range of clients – from healthcare and transportation to finance and commercial real estate. He also supports the marketing and business development teams at Nyhus.
Prior to joining Nyhus, Ian earned a bachelor’s degree in political economy and a bachelor’s degree in sociology from the University of Washington, where he focused his studies on the triangular relationship between business, government and labor. During his time at school, he held leadership positions in Business Leaders in Healthcare and volunteered within the student government.
Ian also served in the Office of Outreach and Involvement for the University of Washington student government during his senior year. As the Office’s assistant director, Ian led recruitment efforts and introductory workshops for students interested in volunteering. Previously, Ian interned for the Seattle Department of Transportation, compiling data and conducting outreach. He also worked in the district office of Congresswoman Suzan DelBene and canvassed for a state senate campaign in his home district.
Originally from Minnesota, Ian has spent most of his life in Ferndale, Washington, and has fully embraced his parents’ affinity for the Green Bay Packers. In his spare time, you can find him absorbed in all things having to do with politics and history, meticulously “curating” music playlists on Spotify, and exploring the nightlife scene around Seattle.
