AMY SNOW LANDA

Account Director

Amy is a seasoned communicator and journalist with more than 15 years’ experience working professionally in journalism and strategic communications. As an account director at Nyhus, Amy specializes in strategic messaging, content creation and media relations, particularly at the vital intersection of public relations and public affairs.

Prior to joining Nyhus, Amy spent three years at The Fearey Group in Seattle, where she led public relations programs for a range of clients, including statewide trade and professional associations, a national, Fortune 100 company aiming to grow its presence in the Pacific Northwest, and a global engineering corporation working toward the successful completion of a major infrastructure project in Seattle. Amy’s journalism career has included stints as a Capitol Hill reporter and managing editor in Washington, D.C., and, most recently, reporting for The Seattle Times.

Amy received her master’s degree in health journalism, with a graduate minor in bioethics, from the University of Minnesota, where she also taught in the School of Journalism & Mass Communication. She is a graduate of Carleton College in Minnesota and has studied at Kansai Gaidai University in Japan.

Amy serves on the strategy committee for the board of directors of Seattle City Club. Outside of Nyhus, she can often be found spending time with her young niece and nephew at hot spots around Seattle, particularly (these days) the community swimming pool and the roller rink.
