Jane is an administrative assistant with a journalism and public relations background.

She was a reporter for three Seattle area newspapers, and directed public relations for two community colleges. Additionally, has held top leadership positions in several community volunteer organizations and worked as a freelance editor.

She holds a degree in broadcast journalism from the University of Oregon. Except for her time in Oregon, she is a lifelong Seattle resident who enjoys gardening, cooking, movies and spending time with her husband, Robert, her college-age daughter and adult son.

Jane has worked as a freelance writer and editor and has been published on Spark News website. She spent several years sharing her love of cooking and baking at a local cookware store where she provided outstanding customer service – a skill that she has brought to Nyhus.
