Gina has more than 15 years’ experience leading reputation-building, marketing and public education campaigns. Gina serves clients in the Nyhus marketing and content practice where her expertise is in developing and executing strategic communications and integrated marketing campaigns for her clients to help them achieve their communications goals and reach target audiences. She works on clients in the healthcare, transportation, energy, construction and tourism industries.
Prior to joining Nyhus, Gina spent five years at Widmeyer Communications in Washington, D.C. There she provided strategic media relations and government affairs counsel to higher education, healthcare, business, energy, environment, international development and government clients. Gina joined Widmeyer after serving as an account executive at Waggener Edstrom Worldwide Public Affairs in Washington, D.C. Previously Gina worked in the office of U.S. Congressman Adam Smith on Capitol Hill as a communications assistant and as a legislative correspondent on a wide array of issues.
Gina received a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations with minors in Political Science and Advertising from Gonzaga University. She was a recipient of the 2000 Jesse H. Neal National Business Journalism Award for an article published in the Natural Food Merchandiser.
A native of California, Gina is a die-hard fan of the San Francisco 49ers. She is an active member of the Junior League of Seattle, a member of BRAVO!, the Seattle Opera’s young professionals group and is a season ticket holder at the 5th Avenue Theater.
