With years of experience in Washington, D.C., Veronica brings a fresh perspective on public affairs to the Nyhus team. She serves as a senior account executive, with a focus on integrated communications, government and community relations and legislative affairs.

Prior to joining Nyhus, Veronica worked as a corporate relations manager at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the world’s foremost trade association representing American business worldwide. In her role there, she worked closely with the organization’s top executives to manage the Chamber’s relationships with many of its Fortune 500 members. Veronica also played an integral role in recruiting new companies to join the trade association. Previous experience includes corporate fundraising and event planning at a boutique public affairs firm in D.C.

A two-time graduate of The George Washington University, Veronica received her master’s degree in Legislative Affairs and her bachelor’s degree in International Affairs. She remains an active member of the George Washington alumni community where she volunteers her time planning events, speaking on career panels and engaging with students any way she can.

Veronica currently serves on the board of Mainstream Republicans of Washington and as Washington State Representative for Republican Women for Progress, a national grassroots policy organization representing the voice of moderate Republican women. She is also a provisional member of the Junior League of Seattle. A native Seattleite, Veronica loves to cheer on her beloved Washington Huskies and Seahawks. In her spare time, Veronica is an avid concert-goer and enjoys travel, cooking, and visiting her family on Whidbey Island.
