As spring brings new life and energy everywhere, Nyhus is also growing and evolving.

We’re pleased to announce the arrival of Heidi de Laubenfels, who has joined Nyhus as vice president of operations. In this role, Heidi’s responsibilities include business excellence, team leadership and superior client service. Working closely with Roger Nyhus, president and CEO of Nyhus, Heidi will run the day-to-day operations of Nyhus.

Heidi brings extensive leadership and communications experience. She served most recently as vice president of communications and external relations at McKinstry, a national, Seattle-based facilities and energy-efficiency company. There, she led external and internal communications, marketing, executive positioning, and community and philanthropy activities.

That role, coupled with more than two decades in various positions at newspaper companies – including The Seattle Times, where she served as deputy managing editor – sharpened her ability to articulate purpose and vision, enroll and inspire teams, and reach key stakeholders with compelling communications.

Also joining Nyhus recently is Kim Sanchez, who joined Nyhus as director of our public affairs practice. Kim brings more than two decades of experience in global corporate communications, crisis communications, coalition building and spearheading overall brand strategy for large companies. Most recently, Kim served as a communications director at Microsoft, where she led multifaceted PR, public affairs and social media campaigns focused on security, privacy and online safety initiatives.

Rounding out terrific additions to the team this spring is account manager Aarti Vaid, who brings extensive international marketing and communications experience. Prior to Nyhus, Aarti was a channel strategy marketing manager at CDK Digital Marketing.

We’re thrilled to bring these new skills, perspectives and energy to our clients and to our work. Look for more about what’s happening at Nyhus and elsewhere here, on Facebook and in Twitter. It’s our pleasure to serve you.
