Today we celebrated one of our favorite events of the year, the Nyhus Chili Cook-Off! Four brave employees rolled up their sleeves and stirred up a steaming crock-pot of deliciousness for all their coworkers to enjoy. And judge.

Only one would take home First Place.

With the contest underway, disaster struck early. Gina Maffei, considered a favorite by many, arrived unable to compete after sustaining a Cook-Off related injury. “I thought the hardest part would be getting the crock-pot to the office,” said Maffei, “turns out it was the onions.” Better luck next year Gina, wishing you a speedy recovery!

With Maffei stumbling out of the gate, the field narrowed to four and the Nyhus team set to work tasting and savoring the entries. After an anonymous vote, a winner was ready to be declared…
